Basically the tax office doesn’t like waiting - therefore they’ve installed something called advanced taxation. Your profits are estimated for the upcoming year and you’re taxed a fraction of that amount, upfront. The actual calculation is quite convoluted but below is a simplified version to give you an idea of what this would mean for you.

€100 in Vantik Fund × 0.43% (advance taxation fraction) × 26.37% taxes = €0.11 upfront tax to pay.

In practical terms, you should not worry about advance taxation. We'll automatically pay your advance tax as a fraction of your profits. Later, if you take out money that has made a profit, you’ll only pay the difference between the total profit tax and the advance tax you’ve already paid. Alternatively, if you’ve paid too much in advance, you’ll be reimbursed.
